Possible to host a server on LAN?

This weekend I'm having friends over, and I want to surprise them with a freelancer LAN. Is it possible to host a server with Hal 2007 Evo 1.40 mod? Or is hosting a server exclusive to the official server?

Thank you very much for the fast reply, I should have been more clear with my question.
I wanted to know if it was at all possible to host a server, some mods disable hosting server. Can only play on their server. (crossfire 2.0 for example)
I put up a test server yesterday, and everything seems to be working fine.


And ofcourse a big THANK YOU to whoever updated the best mod ever for freelancer to 1.40!

It will work on a LAN, so it ourselves before issuing Test
